Tips for catching goldfish

Hi all,

I’m trying to round up the goldfish in my pond to re home then and reduce numbers in my pond.

I had little success with a net - except stressing all the fish and catching only two in over an hour.

Now trying a minnow trap which seems better - just caught another two.

Any tips would be hugely appreciated

I reduce the water level and then use 1 net in each hand, ( butterfly nets from dollar tree). I also used a swimming pool net for the hard to reach areas. Then alot of patience lol

This is what I use...just leave it in bottom for awhile and feed fish over top of it...then just pull up:

I had one of those but I became more successful when I added a screen over the top leaving a couple inches open a long the sides. Throw the food in and all done..
But the water jug top cut off and fliped around .stuffed back into the base has worked the best. I have to fo little

After all day with the minnow trap I’ve caught two

I’ll give this net a go

TWO with no effort sounds pretty good to me. Stop feedings and feed only in the trap and you'll get them in time
