We are all looking for the perfect water testing kit arent we with many of us using Tetra or API .
A few of the more daring of us use digital read outs made by Hanna and other digital water test kit companies .
Then came the Seneye the test kit from the pond to your PC but it didnt do all the tests sadly .
Well check this one out from JBL a smart phone water testing kit :-

First question that came to mind is: What is the life of the probe? and: Is this unit self-calibrating?

I really don't have a lot of faith in dip strips.
Those things are very time sensitive.

I like the idea Dave but I question the accuracy.

It looks like an European product so keep us posted.

Mitch JBL is pretty much the new kid on the block in Germany and Europe where they have made great inroads these past few years even giving ehiem a run for there money .
I like the idea in principle , like you have rightly pointed out theres a question of Accuracy
I think it'll be an idea to watch this one to see where they go with it

They do god fish stuff too koiguy believe me when I say they have come out of nowhere and have taken Ehiem by storm threatening their top slot here in Europe .
As to why they havent reached your side of the pond yet I dont know but I have a feeling that before much longer you will be my friend

There is also the question of it being a test strip kit which arent as accurate as drop tests but they may have found a way around it by now and as you quite rightly point out how much is it ?
