They have made it to my feeder! Coming every day now. Need to refill it tomorrow.

I've been checking the maps weekly for the last month. They should be here in the next couple weeks.

On April 15th of this year, I put my hummingbird feeder out for the first time of the year. Within 30 minutes I had my first hummingbird visitor. I have no idea how it found it that fast.

I'm getting Rufous hummingbirds at my new house. I had never seen one before! They are BRIGHT orange and tiny. I have the house surrounded by 4 feeders, and all of them are getting heavy use. They make me so happy!

I should probably make some nectar and put my feeder out. With the late snow we've been having as well as the cool weather, I'm not fully comprehending that it's already May.

I did put oranges out last week that the house finches enjoyed.

They are very protective of the feeders, will chase every other hummingbird away. In Colorado I had to hide the feeders on different sides of the house so a few of the other ones could get a drink.
