What a great saying, Sissy! I will have to remember that. My grandma always said, "Things work out for the best" and I live by that motto, too. Someone dumped (I assume) a bull terrier (pit bull) at my house. It was here this morning, very afraid, but came up to be petted. Very skinny, although didn't seem that interested in food. When my dogs saw him, they barked and ran to him, but he didn't run away, just tucked tail and waited. My dogs are not bullys, so they all sniffed and now Yukon has a new playmate. I will NOT keep a pit bull, never did like the dogs, but that doesn't mean he can't be comfy until someone else is ready to give him a home. I will take him to the Animal Control next week if he's still here. So far, he's having a great time playing with Yukon. He's not been neutered, so he is peeing on everything, so is not welcome to come inside my house. They are playing on the deck now. He seems to be maybe a year old, same age as Yukon. Seems to be full blooded, but for sure has a pit bull head. Here are some pics I took of him. Very hard to get a side shot, he is constantly moving around. LOL He is smaller than Yukon, but bigger than Smokey the beagle. It just really ticks me off that people would dump a dog in the wintertime. Geesh ... someone would take this dog and love it, but I sure won't advertise him for free with pics! I will let the Animal Control or PAWS take him, make sure he's neutered, and then find him a good home, not one where someone will use him for fighting or something worse! Yep, I'm a softie, but every animal deserves a good life!
