Would you believe it when I cleaned the third filter prior for the onset of winter last weekend we got a leak that over time drained the Bio filter virtually to the bottom twice..........
Thats all we needed trying to chase a damn leak.
I had our neighbour Jeff crawling throuogh the filter housing testing the seals on the filter setup but we could find nothing wrong .
I had to top the pond up twiceto replace the missing water .
It turned out in the end a bit of either Jap Matting or something else got caught in the lip that the slide valve sits snuggly in place when closed thus creating a tiny break in that seal.
It was only when Jeff flushed things through a bit more that what ever caused this was dislogged allowing the slide valve a propper seal thus stopping the leak
