I’ve only had my pond 5 months and I’ve kept the eco system perfectly balanced throughout the summer and to my amazement I’ve now got at least 40 baby’s
From 1/2 inch to 1 inch .
I’m currently setting up quarantine tank to transfer them too. I’m doing a lot of research But I would really appreciate any pointers and advice.
I can’t tell for certain what fish they are as I have a mix of koi, common, mirror, tench and Rudd but I know some are mirror as I rescued a baby from the off the top of my Lillie pads.
thanks in advance.

Welcome @Mr vip

Why a quarantine tank? Are you rehoming the babies?

I chuckled a bit when you said “I kept the eco-system perfectly balanced”. If it’s an eco-system then it kept itself balanced!

Well for start the tank is sold as a quarantine tank which in size was what I was looking for to grow on the baby’s and secondly an eco system doesn’t necessarily take care of it’s self!
There are many influences both natural and human which can unbalance any eco system so yes keeping the eco system balanced is a fair statement and important.
I’m not sure why that made you chuckle!
