Get some of the high density foam line a box that will fit over your air pump, but make sure your pump is on a platform that allows good air flow. I put mine on some rubber gasket material I had laying around, that really helped. Don't really hear it unless right down by the pond.

I have mine in my pump house and you can't hear it, even with the pump off. Just be sure you allow adequate air flow whatever you put over it. You may even try making a box and lining it with some extra pond liner, I think it might absorb some of the sound.

If you hang your pump from something it helps with vibration also .I have a handle on my pump and put a stake in the ground and attached a hanger hook to the stake and then I made a faux rock to cover it .The faux rock is made of chicken wire formed to look like a rock .I then soaked burlap in grey grout mixed thin and then started wrapping the chicken wire with the burlap grout mixture with my hands I smoothed it out in spots and crinkled in other spots .I left it dry for 2 days and then mixed more grey grout a little thicker a slathered it on and then let it dry and did it again ,until I got it thick enough .Then thin watery paint in spots to make it look more natural .You have to make sure it drys slow or it will crack .I did mine in the basement and misted it once in awhile so it would dry slower .The slower it cures the better it is .Some use cement to do the same thing .I also put my form over a box to give it some stability while I was working on it .Do not move it around while it is drying .

Like those highway barriers, sound rises nicely, a block between your window and the pump will really help. Even just laying it in a pot with the opening away from the window
