I am seeingvalot of posts on here about solar. My husband and I built our off grid farmstead back in 1996. We were featured during a national solar home tour. Cornell Universoty used our farm as an all day open house to demonstate feasibilty for affordable solar. Desiging a proper system takes some work. Clody, rainy, weather and nights will take batteries. You are looking at a big investment. We had 3 ponds. It was never a priorty . The farm animals would have destroyed the equipment anyway. Have an electrician run a dedicated outlet and bury the wire. If you really want to try.. Consult with some online solar companies and get their advice. Batteries would need a protected fireproof vented container. A specific battery designed for solar. They are expensive. Doable certainly. Doing it correctly...
