Small Black Worms in Waterfall!

Hi all,

I just turned my pump off, after a few weeks a running solid, and noticed loads of tiny black worms all centered around where the water comes out and hits the first rock of the waterfall.

They look horrible! What are these things, and should I get rid? Will the fish eat them?

I have 3 goldfish about 10cm long.
Pond is 250 Litre

ok cool. Are they pretty common then?

i think so they are them very tiny little black flys that you might see flying around your pond, they lay there eggs in the water, you then end up with those worm things in your pond
