Skimmer recommendation

I am looking for some recommendations on which skimmer to buy and where. I need one that will handle a 5000 gph pump. I would like one that is easy and cheap to maintain and hopefully act as a partial prefilter. And if someone can answer the question on why a plastic box should cost several hundred dollars that would be nice too! Here are two I am considering.

You can always DIY it. a utility sink. Add brushes or whatever else you want.
