I have a liner bottom pond, a DIY skimmer/mid pond pull to filter set up. No bottom drain. The mulm that builds up on the bottom? Is it okay to sweep that up into the water to be filtered or will that mess up the water parameters? Just a thin layer that clings to the green carpet :coolgleema: but enough that the water clouds up, not dirty but debrisish, filters or settles completely within about an hour or so. THanks for your input!

It would be better if you used a pond vac. That way the mulm will be completely removed from the pond. I have the one that you attach a garden hose too. Works okay..was about $80.
