I have a silly question. We have a premade waterfall (made of resin I believe) that we're trying out (first pond). I want to have the filter a little ways away and was thinking of running hose from the filter to the top of the waterfall, which seems feasible. My question is, how do I keep the hose in place at the top of the waterfall? Just rocks, or something else? I'd hate for it to come loose and empty my pond by spraying water around...

I am guessing that you would need a barbed type of connection depending on the size of your filters output "hose". Either way a bulkhead fitting would work. You just drill a hole to accomodate the bulkhead fitting and install it. Here is a link to a barbed fitting - http://cgi.ebay.com/1-1-inch-Bulkhe...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e5b9cfb48

If you give a little more info, it would be easier for people to help. Size hose or pipe, what type of connection you need to make (barbed, hose clamp, etc.) . Pictures are also helpful.

You can drill a few small straps in the top and use zip straps to keep it in place
You dont want it to come loose

You can kind of see it there, it's the grey thing (this is just me playing with where would be a good place to put it). If I have time when I get home (it's been a crazy week so far) I'll try and take a better picture of it.

The hose is 1 inch in diameter, just black flexible pond tubing.

The filter won't be that close to the waterfall either, I'm still working out the exact location, but it will probably be near the bushes.

So, I figured it out. I used small door handles, and screwed them right to the premade waterfall. It's dark out now, but I will (honestly this time) take close up pictures later.
