I have a question about my pond equipment and how to sequence the components for the maximum effectiveness. This is what I have:
A Tetra 300 gph submersible pump
A Tetra 1200 gph submersible pump
A Tetra submersible flat box filter
A skimmer
An Intex swimming pool filter, model 637R, without the pump.

At present I have the submersible box filter attached to the 300 gph pump. I have the skimmer and pool filter attached to the 1200 gph. Would I get better results having just the skimmer on the 1200 gph and everything else on a separate pump?

How big is your pond, what is your pond set up and what are you planning to have in your pond? That will help answer your OP.

My pond is about 350 gallons and it has 12 comets who range from 2-4 inches long excluding the tail. I don't plan to add more. The pond measures about 7 ft by 7 ft by 20 inches deep.
