Today I scored an above ground swimming pool with pump and sand filter. I seen the pool setup in my neighbors yard a few years back but do not recall how large it was.

Thinking about using the pool itself as a temporary koi pond while I get my real ponds sorted.
Net wisdom says that one should not use a pool pump on a pond as it is too inefficient. But it might make a nice booster pump for a water fall for occasional use.
Or maybe after the ponds are build I can get a new pool liner and take a dip.
