I have 100 by 40 pond and it's been about 5 years since it was completely cleaned.
Now I have some muck on a bottom. I noted there is a lot of gas releasing when I poked the bottom with a stick. Is it beneficial to go around and poke the bottom with a long stick?
The bluegill and bass doing well so far.
I aerate a couple of hours a day now.
