ok in energy efficient pumps what have people found in pumps and length of power cord .I am looking for a pump that has a gph of 2500 to 3000 gph .Have you had luck with the brand and are you satisfied with how it works .I need the pump to cost less than 200 dollars as it is not for my pond but it is for the pond at the other house .I am wanting to keep cost down on pump cost and on the electric bill there because the house has a co-op electric company .I do have my harbor freight one here and it says 2150 gph but seems to pump 2400 gph and cost 59 dollars (on sale )and is 4 years old and uses about 145 watts,(is there even one out there that uses less watts ) .But I really don't think it is big enough for a 20by 20 pond at 4 feet deep ..So far I have only found 3325 gph magnetically coupled cal pump at pondfilter. com watts it says is 126 to 164 watts and has only a 20 ft. cord and 1 year warranty .Major considerations are cost to run and price .I am paying for it not them .They were given a bio falls filter by someone there taking there pond apart .I think i would need a 30ft cord at least .I have mentioned this pump several times on here but no feed back on magnetically coupled pumps .Not sure what that means and how long it will last .I have a 1250 pump there now and will keep it there since watts used is so low and I always say 2 is better than one .I am lost on this one .

Sissy- just got a northern tool catalogue. They have a Wayne brand 3000GPH pump for $59. According to their website, it is a low energy cost pump. Have not heard of them before but the price seems good.

had never heard of the brand before but the price was great. sometimes, the price doesn't make the sale. Just thought I would throw that out there-

I don't want to spend that much as it is for the other house and I don't live there and hoping they don't ruin another pump .The other one I gave them is not working right .Since they have a co-op the power goes up and down and goes off a lot so don't want to ruin an expensive pump

This is the one I have in the bottom of my 3' deep pond. It pumps the water from the bottom of the pond, through a 14' x 1 1/2" hose, into a 2" pipe which carries it over 20' undreground into the bottom of a 55gallon pickle barrel. It then pushes the water up from the bottom of the barrel into a 2" overflow drain, back underground another 20+ feet back to the pond where it drops onto a waterfall and back into the pond with a heavy volume of water coming out at the end. I gave $79.99 for it and free shipping. I think they may have gone up a tad on the price since I bought mine last month. I'm very happy with it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crystal-Pon...833?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19e0571529
