More details would be good- how big is the pond, how many gallons, how big is the pump, are you running a waterfall?

As a rough guess I would say it’s about 800 gallons and the pump is a 1500 I think we’ve just ordered the wrong pump for the size and waterfall ☹️

You can install a flow-through ball valve in the pipe between the pump and the discharge end. Then partially close the valve until you have your desired flow rate.

Or you can T off the feed between the pump and the falls and create another source for water movement. Underwater makes a jet or create a side flow somewhere - have fun with it.

Use a ball valve to control how much water goes to each side of the T.
