not knowing the size of your pond. You should always turn over your pond volume at least twice an hour to keep good water quality. My pond is 3 ft deep 800 gallons I turned it over two and a half times an hour. I have a thousand gallon an hour to the waterfall with lava rock 4 filtration surface and a thousand gallon an hour going to the bog filtration which is one third of my pond surface 10 in deep pea gravel planted Water is Crystal Clear to the bottom.
