PUMP QUESTION

What's the difference between pumps labeled as "filter" pumps and those labeled as "waterfall" pumps?

I would think it was just there wording just like some pumps say pond on them and some say fountain .My pond pumps I got from Harbor Frieght say fountain pump and are 1268 gph ,that would be some fountain head but has a diverter on the bottom that says fiter outlet on it . .I know a few I have seen that say filter pumps have adjustments on them with a T fitting and you can turn the pump down on one of the fittings coming out .It has a knob that you can turn up and down and has a fountain head included in the kit like mine does .Mine comes with 4 different fountain heads

sorry I have cheapo harbor frieght pumps 22 dollars on sale 1268 gph .But did score one of the new pumps that they have at lowes that use less energy and have a shut off so that you never ruin your pump .the package was damaged .I think it was 2900 gph
