I have a small pond that has a bioball/waterfall system that’s worked well for years. The issue I’d like to remedy is the light debris in the pond will eventually clog the impeller housing. It has no maceration ability so I’m trying to figure out a screen/filter assembly on the inlet line. Any ideas appreciate.

What is your pump inlet size and gph? Looks bigger than the ones I am using.

I've used coarse Laguna foam under green Matala with a Supreme prefilter box, gets me through the summer instead of clogging every few days with original material, but pump is only ~500gph with 3/4" inlet. Also have to hold it down with a couple of rocks

Take anything plastic with a lid and drill a million holes in it. I'd look at 1/4 inch but it depends on the size of the box bin and the pump.
