Hubby loves the look of them and people grow them all over town and they sell them at greenhouses too. I am careful with them, especially with the children and puppies. My friend grows them as well and she never had any trouble. They are mildly poisonous to dogs and humans. Some people can be more senitive than others as well. I do warn people not to touch them. If it were up to me I would not grow them but hubby plants them every year so I put them out front and away from puppies.
