Pond without pvc or epdm only clay

Hello all

I looking for some tuto or explication about create à pond with a layer of clay instead of tarpaulin... And I m asking myself if it s possible to hit à wheel in it ?

Very possible but not without its risks. You can use clay to waterproof the pond but choose the wrong type and your pond will NEVER EVER be clear. Bentonite is a product you can add in aiding a earthen pond. Sorry not my strong point. I do not have specifics.

I do not want to buy any clay because the ground here is full of it. I eared about bentonite but I tought normal clay could be enough. Just like old school pond.
But I read also that I need 30 cm of clay minimum and better if it s more than that.

Stick at the bottom à huge tube of Steel, 7 or 8 meters into the earth so water could be pumped to fill in the pond if necessery
