Pond vacuum pump cuts out on start

Hi I’m new to the forum, recently retired I now have some spare time on my hands so I’ve decided to try and clean up my pond.
I have a Bermuda vacuum pump hardly used. When I switched it on the motor runs then cuts out immediately and alarms. Tried on line for information, but none available. Tested motor and float seem ok.
Just wondering if anyone can offer any advice.

You said vacuum pump. Is this a pump or a pond vacuum?

If I’m not mistaken, we had another new member recently with this (or a similar brand) — it was a pond vac, I think. Be sure you have it assembled correctly, and follow all directions. If that doesn’t help, you might try contacting the company directly.

Yes, that member was @Jmac. Maybe he will see this and can offer some advice.

Yes it’s a pond vacuum pump, I don’t have the instructions and the reply I got from the original supplier was they don’t sell this pump now so indicating they were not interested.

Well, that’s not very good customer service. How long have you had it? Did you buy it new?
