I currently have two koi fish one butterfly and I'm not sure of the other about a hundred Rosy Reds and at least a Hundred Mollys and their breeding all the time . I hope enjoy the pics I will send more.....

You rescue plants? I don't think I've ever heard of it referred to that way before! Welcome!

Hello. Thanks for showing your pond. Plant rescue, that's great. I may put out an add online that I rescue plants, as my poor garden is a tad bit bare. Who knows I may get lucky.

The only time I've been frustrated is when Blue Herons ate 28 gold fish .They were all 8"-10" inches. But luckily they had previously layed eggs and I had 52 babies :) .That's the cycle of life..... Since than I have created tunnels and a bridge and many other places for them to hide.

I've always had a fascination with watching plants and animals grow, sometimes I go on a ride through the forests here in Florida looking for species I've never seen before .one time I put sea weed (lake weed) iny pond and all of my baby goldfish died, never again will I do that.

I flush the pond I'm currently using a well and the water quality is very good I do this at least once or twice a week .
ohh forgot to mention, the water from my well is 72 degrees all year round, so in the winter it does rarely fall below 30 degrees, I thinking about trickeling water all winter long

I learned the hard way do not run your to much .I had to pull my pump and replace it .I even added a bigger pressure tank so the pump does not have to come on as much .Even wish I had put a bigger one in but did not think I could lift it onto the platform .Those well pumps are not cheap and mine is 400 feet in the ground .Jet pumps are easier because they are at least accessable

I agree with you, but it only gets cold for maybe a few weeks out've the year. I lost a few fish this winter, hopefully I have better luck this winter :)
