I live in Southern California and I ordered some pond plants from a place in Oregon. Happily they arrived in good shape BUT while I was putting the plants in quarantine buckets I saw what I think was a very teeny tiny snail. I'm assuming if there is one there will be more and now I'm afraid to put them in my unnetted pond because I don't want the racoons tearing up everything trying to get the snails. I stopped having fish in this pond because of the coons and was hoping the plants will help with algea. If it wasn't for the coons, I wouldn't care about the snails. Any one know what type of snail(s) this could be and is there a way to get rid of them before I put the plants in my pond?
