Pond screen?

Our 10'x13' pond is currently covered with flowering cherry blossoms! They go right thru the netting as do the little cattail things off the oak trees. Has anyone ever used window screening as a way to keep things out of their ponds? Planning on building 2 frames from rigid PVC to make it easier to lift off and clean. The trees are beautiful at this time of the year but I'm ready to CUT THEM DOWN!! Any input would be appreciated.

i have just ordered some plant netting to cover mine as i have a similer problem with pin head size seeds falling into mine something like this

yes i use window screening it works awesome. here is a pic of my pond
with the window screening on it.before i put this kind on
i just had a pvc net and the holes where big so i got tons of leafs
this screening is small i got it at true vavlue hardware store

Ok- Then it will work. Sure will save me some time as I have been scooping flower petals out 2 & 3 times a day!Shame the koi don't have a taste for flowers:blueflower:

i think it might be good they dont mrsclem cause those trees are on my toxic to fish list :lol:
