Joshaeus
Water hawthorn, Aponogeton Distachyos
Hi everyone! I was wondering...what are some pond plants that also do well in aquariums? Obviously plants that do well in both environments would be easier to overwinter and also helpful to my aquarium club. Here are a few I know work;
- Hornwort (from personal experience)
- Water lettuce (again, from personal experience)
- Tropical water lilies (if they are small enough...won't usually bloom in the aquarium, though. I had a Dauben water lily that did well in an aquarium, but I had a lot of light over that tank and it got algae infested, and I ultimately tossed it)
- Duckweed
- Possibly water snowflakes? (Haven't tried these either in the aquarium or in a water garden, but one species, the banana plant, is a common aquarium plant)
Any other ideas? Thanks
