I am splicing about a 4x4 piece of liner so my Biofalls has a little slack. My question is can i use PVC cleaner/primer to clean the edges so i don't have to bye a whole can for such a small job?
Any help would be great.
Thanks chad

Better to do a complete seal of the overlapping joints than risk a leak later on. I believe it needs 24 hours to completely cure, although it hardens in seconds.

In a portion of my canal, I used PVC liner sandwiched between 2 layers of concrete. I'm assuming your lining is PVC. If it isn't you have to use a different method.

PVC cement isn't that expensive.

I think he just wants to clean the edges with the pvc cleaner/primer. That would work.

Then glue it.

Sorry i wasn't very specific.. I am using a 45mil epdm liner and need just a little more where my biofalls are for a little slack so it's not really tight on the seam and edges. I have a section i trimmed off that is 4x4 and am going to use the seam tape to seal the edges. I just wanted to make sure the PVC cleaner/primer wouldn't damage the EPDM liner. I didn't know if since it was meant for PVC that it was more harsh than the cleaner made for EPDM.

Test it on a scrap piece of liner, that is what I would do. I have never used it so do not know for sure.
