We are going to build our first pond around a 8X11 and we were going to use a pond kit but are confused on which would be the best to buy. (Aquascape, Atlantic, Savio, etc.) Can anyone give me some advice on this?

Sorry I don't know a thing on pond kits. Built both my ponds w/liners bought from a roofing company and also an irrigation company. Bought all the extra stuff piece by piece too.

I enjoyed viewing your pictures of your pond. My son and husband are going to build mine and I just want to make sure the equipment used will hold up and function without problems.

no matter what you buy it will have it's quirks and problems .Kits are nice but you are limited to what they sell you and usually a higher price than what you would have paid buying them individually .Like liner you can get at any hardware store cheap as long as it is strong it will last 45 mil is preferred but is heavy .Pumps will depend on length of hose to like a waterfall or filter will reduce your gph .Nothing is 100 % without it's problems or defects .

You would be better to buy each item individualy. With the kits they usually only give you the basics and nothing more. If you plan to have fish, the kits I have seen don't come with a filter, a skimmer box that is the right size or a pump that is right the size of the pond.

Thank you Brandon's Dad. Could you give me some good brands of pumps, skimmers, etc. please?
I will try to put more pictures up of her if I can figure out how to do it. She is my baby girl and my Watson (Westie) loves her too :)

Sissy, did you all build your own pond and what products did you use? There are so many out there and can be confusing. I wish I could blow up your pond pictures but it won't let me.
