Hi, I have a 50 gallon preform pond and was wondering if a 300 watt heater for the winter would be ok?
Aren't you going to need a filter for when they come inside? Can't you use the same filter/filter media? We decided to bring them in for the winter.. As far as the filter goes... It has those bio balls inside of it and my water is established. Should I take that media out and leave in the bottom of the pond for the winter? I would hate to kill off the good bacteria.
most of the bacteria will die from the cold .Most meaning all and your tank out side could freeze and crack
It's a plastic preformed in the ground pond not a tankI should drain all the water out of it then?
No, I have a fish tank in the house with a filter .Aren't you going to need a filter for when they come inside? Can't you use the same filter/filter media?
