Hi Folks

Still learning loads from this forum - thanks !

When I build my own pond , I just left the bare liner but I see some people have covered their pond floor with rocks or pebbles etc . Obviously these will get covered in muck over time right? Right now my own pond liner has a layer of brownish muck on it , which doesn't look great but I am assuming is unavoidable ?

Cheers
Martin

That is the good stuff and I call it yucky mucky and lucky you have it .Rocks are hard to clean and why have them on the bottom you can't see them as the muck covers them ,so why spend that money on them when you can use it for something else .Like maybe a bigger pond or a nicer pump or maybe something pretty for the pond .

I had rocks , at one time in a pond, what a mess. They just got covered with muck.
