Pond Documentation

I've noticed a few posts from folks that have acquired a pond that they know little or nothing about and decided that I should have information available for my family if they should ever need the information.

At first I thought it would simply be just a few receipts, but I opted to create a timeline of the development and construction then I decided to add photos. I ended up with 3 categories of info: construction, plumbing and a maintenance schedule. I tried to add all of the product sources and specifics about purchases and to explain my choices.

I'm certain that others have done something similar. It felt good to know that the details are available if there are malfunctions or problems. I stuck it up on google drive and shared it with the relevant folks.
Now I feel like I can relax. It will likely be handy for me from time to time as well.

i'd suggest putting it in a showcase . i did the same in there as your talking minus the maintenance

I agree with @GBBUDD here (also he's got good taste in motorcycles). A showcase item might be a great way to document it; that way others can also learn from your experiences. I've been intending to put up a pond section up on my website for the same reason, though it doesn't really fit in with the rest of my content. Probably a way to make it work, if I put some thought into it.

I also suggest that a "Maintenance" section be added to the showcase template. Who is the right person to approach about that?

Sometimes I look at the giant holes we've all dug and think "WHAT IN THE WORLD WERE WE THINKING!" HAHA! I get a little PTSD. I'm Glad we did it when we did though - at my age now I would have had to hire it all out... and that's no fun!

When i built my pond i found tons of videos but other than on this forum there waS NOTHING IN TEXT AND PHOTOS so i gave it a shot to make one for others. i asked for input if someone thought something e4lse needed to be in the showcase but thus far nothing
