Going to be getting rid of the visible heat pipes task of the day. Going to reduce 2in heat pipe down to 1/2in and tuck them away

You have a heater for you pond?
If so, isn't that costly to run?

It really shouldn't be necessary unless you keep tropical fish in a subtropical location.

All you need is a small opening kept in the ice for gas exchange and that can be done with a low wattage deicer or an even lower wattage pond breather. An air stone can help to some degree, but I've found during long sub zero periods that can freeze over.

Ah! Very observant!
My cousin lives in Tennessee. His weather is practically the same as ours here in Pennsylvania. Maybe because he lives on a mountain top? Generally, I would think Tennessee would indeed be warmer.

TENNESEE TUXEDO! HEY, CHUMLY!
Sorry, that was a flashback from my childhood days watching cartoons!

At one point this winter it got down to about 16 degrees so the heater is necessary for my babies lol

You are turning your pond into a whole western movie and I am living for it!

Also, is it just me or did your bog clear up the pond water in like a day?

I was going to find a life size skeleton like you saw in school and put in pond but I can't pay what they want for an anatomically correct one
That would be cool.
Maybe you could at least get the upper half and have him half out of the water leaning against a rock like he died in the poisonous water!
