Parrot Feather

I'm sorry for another plant question, but this is my first year with any vegetation in the pond. I love the parrot feather, and my fish really seemed to have enjoyed it as well. I couldn't believe how quickly it grew to break the water's edge once I placed it in the pond. With that said, I have the opposite "problem" now. The stalk has continued to grow, which means that it now snakes around the small surface area of my pond. Am I supposed to trim this back periodically, or just let it go?

You can definitely cut it back. Every cutting will continue to grow. We have the opposite problem - our fish LOVE our parrot's feather. They keep it neatly trimmed!

I love parrot feather but unfortunately my Koi do to it is beautiful confined to the plant basket, if a limb dips down into the water it's gone, but the weird thing is they don't seem to eat it, just mangle it and it ends up in the skimmer

I yank it out by the handful, ow it will take over my small ponds. The big pond it never really takes off.
