Hi,

Well here is the silly question of the day; What do I do next?

Water is in the pond. Filters are up and running. Adding Bio-Ball when they arrive.

When do I add plants?

When do I add fish?

Is there a "break in period"?

I am using something to add "benificial bacteria" into the pond.

Could someone point me to a listing of good "hardy" plants to add to the pond?

Thanks

I added plants as I was building, it took some fish poo to really get them going.

There is a break in period, the pond has to cycle, i.e. your filters grow good bacteria to support the fish.

Test your water, make sure you have a good test kit to keep track of ammonia etc.
When you start to add fish slowly add them.

This is from a quick net search, there is a lot of good info out there.

Wait until filter cycles .test kit will really be a big help in figuring the whole thing out .

ok. first let the water keep on cycling let the pumps get use to it. then add the plants in there. and then let the water cycle 1 more day. and then after add the fish in there. when you bring the fish put them in the bag and just put it in pond dont open the bag cuz then water temp in bag will be same as pond then of open the bag and put the fishes in there. wait for 5 minutes
