Hy to all!
Im just wondering, if this filter can handle with 15.000l of water with Koi and Goldfishes inside?
My friends told me(no one uses FiltroClear), thad the filter is to small form my pond, and thad the UV is to strong for 15.000l water...The Uv is 55w..Is this a problem, to strong UV?
I dont know...so i asking here, if someone ownz this filter?
I will buy a pump with flow rate of 4000-5500l per hour...this should be fine....So thad the water changes in 3h....
Another question is, is somethin wrong when i buy pump with 16000l flow rate per hour?? I know its very strong form my 15000l pond, but it come with the filter.
http://www.aquaticsi..._16000_Pump.htm

Don know if Aquamax has option to set the flow rate......
Was asking the same question on Oase forums, but no answer....Hope someone of you has this filter set....

thanks!

just want to say filtration has less to do with pond size, and more with the fish load to pond size ratio. 5 fish in 1000 gallons may need less filtration, than that same 5 fish in 500 gals. also factor in what, how much, and how often you plan to feed. ( even the quality of the food fed can play a roll)....some ponders keep a small enough fishload that they may not even require any extra filtration. their pond may provide enough.
and having a larger than needed U.V will just make it that much more effiective...for alge (green water) you can turn off the U.V once the water is cleared.

the more filtration the more fish a pond can handle...theres a lot of different "opinions" on that subject...1" of fish per 5gals ...1" per 10, 15 gals ...etc... i dont really know what the most common rule of thumb is...i dont follow any common rules...if your water parameters are good then your safe...add fish slowly to your pond. giving time for your filter and pond to establish itself. as long as you keeping the water parameters good your fine. if your water quality starts to diminish you can add filtration or stop adding fish. a good steady regimine of maintainence, like frequent water changes etc. can allow for bigger fish numbers as well...lots of factors involved. and dont forget...they are likely gonna grow quite a bit.
1000 gallons is 3785.4 litres
