Well after some debate between building my own filter and purchasing a shop unit , I eventually replaced my Hozelock EasyClear 9000. I went for an Oase Filtoclear 30000 set which includes an Aquamax Eco 16000 pump. The filter is buried in the ground , 2" pipe coming form pump into filter and back out to pond . Its running with UV around 3 days now and water has gone from a greenish brown to totally clear. Very happy with the unit so far , great pressure from the pump so this will feed my waterfall nicely too (havent started that yet)
The unit is probably overkill for my requirements but for an extra few quid , I figured it was better to have plenty of scope.
Will post pics when I get the waterfall started.
