Hello and welcome!

What exactly do you mean by an Aerogarden? Do you mean hydroponics, or an add-on with plants, like a bog? The fish will provide the nutrients for the plants.

Welcome! As others have said, with hydroponics, the fish provide the nutrients. if you don't have enough nutrients from the fish, simply add more! ( within a reasonable amount, keep it humane )

for hydroponics I would advise investing in some testing kits so that you can be aware of how much excess nutrients you have, and adjust fish and plant loads accordingly. ( api master drop kit is what we recommend, and if you want to really get into it the Hanna Checkers are top of the line )

I mean we used to say 1 goldfish ( only shubunkin are acceptable ) per like 500 gallons, and now people are complaining about not enough nutrients!
