I have been reading a lot about the Nexus filters and have watched a few videos, but I was wondering if someone could explain them a little more in depth?
I know they use kaldnes, which is a media that I am looking to use in my bio-filter, but I wasn't sure how the whole process works.
From what I gather the water enters into a vortex chamber where much of the debris settles and then I am assuming that the water disperses into the other chambers where there seems to be a moving bed on the out side and a stationary bed in the middle. I understand how the moving bed works, but what is the purpose of the chamber holding kaldnes in the middle do?
I have a lot of questions so I think this is a good place to start.
Thanks,
Kyle
