Newly cleaned and refilled pond now gray cloudy water. (pond is still under some construction)

Just cleaned and refilled my pond 0n 7/29, its newly built but I needed to clean and refill it. Now on 7/31 we had some rain this morning and water is gray cloudy. No fish. What happened?

Looks like maybe some runoff from the rain. You need to make sure the edges of your liner are above the top water level.

I don't quite understand. Were there fish before this? Because the same thing happened to my pond when Wildlife chased down my fish.
