Newbie introduction

Hi, all. I've signed up to get some advice while i build and maintain a garden pond of mine over the next couple of years. Also happy to give advice where i can and help out wherever possible. From Swansea, UK.

Currently have 85 goldfish which were obtained form various locations in the area.

Photo 1 is of my biggest goldfish, came to me 4 yrs back from a pond that my uncle had just purchased along with his new house. About 7 inches long with 3 inch diameter body, biggest goldfish iv'e ever seen.


Photo 2 is of of the pond itself, taken about 3 yrs ago. You can see why I am now going to totally upgrade it. Hate the liner showing and general untidiness of area. Pond is currently about 3m (w) x 2m (l) x 1m(d).

welcome and yes with that many fish you need bigger and deeper and a really great filter or 2 .I put 2 on my pond one on each end and i am now making a bigger filter and waterfall area.Plus remember some fish will jump out during spawning so what the sides .
