Newbie in Central Florida

Greetings all !!

I have been contemplating putting in a Pond for several years now, but never got around to it.

My Dad passed away last month, and we kind of have a family tradition of creating a "Memory Garden" for close loved ones that pass away. I cant think of a more perfect place to put in my first pond.

I have been reading a lot, but I still have many questions. From what I have seen, there is a great group of knowledgable people on here who can get me pointed in the right direction.

Thanks for the welcome.
I already posted some ideas/questions in the "Newbies to Garden Ponds" section. Trying to make as few mistakes as possible, because they will probably be hard to fix later.

Welcome Craig! I'm in pretty much the same boat, planning my first pond too, and nice to have a fellow Floridian around!

With your sandy soil keep in mind making good walls. A few in florida have had wall failure.

Good point.
I am planning on cinder block walls, filling at least every other hole with concrete. Maybe I should fill all holes, could even throw in some rebar.
