My background is in Reef Tanks but I inherited this Koi pond in our new house on Mount Helix. Today, the valve on the Nitramax filter that filters the pond took a crap. When I move the valve from filter to backwash and rinse it doesnt completely redirect the water like the valve is worn out. I looked for a replacement and they are $200. Anyone have one of these filters or know a way to fix this?

Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated. Im not sure what model exactly the filter is but its one of the smaller models with the top mounted valve. The pond is approximately 8000 gallons with a waterfall that the filters and pump feed water to.

does it have a o ring that might be torn or just worn out? My pool had a o ring I had to replace in the valve that did filter / backwash, a few times in fact
