Found a toad and painted turtle in the pond yesterday. Toad I scooped out, the turtle I'd like to leave in
but not sure if I should. Pond is 110 gal livestock water tank buried in ground. Not sure what turtle lives off of, have 8 gold fish and 2/3 surface covered with plants. Pond has straight vertical walls, 30 inches deep.
Thanks all.

Not a frog, a big toad. He was trying like heck to get out so I helped. The turtle is 5 inches across and I built up a rock formation to break the surface. Not sure if I should feed him extra? there is no beach area for him to sun, the tank walls a vertical.

A toad will drown in a vertical-sided pond. Float a board from the water to the side so he can get out. The turtle will take a fish if it gets the chance, otherwise it'll settle for salad, worms, bugs, tadpoles, frogs or fish food if you provide it.
