The Koi in my lower pond are starting to breed this morning
So I cut a few branches and put them on the sides of the pond to give them something to lay eggs on
My Nursery is ready this year with a good slime coat on the walls

They were going at it hard when i left this morning
We were on a job out of town today so i couldn't check on them during the day
when i got home the water was still real clear ...every one must not have been ready
there are a few eggs
we have some big storms coming in tonight & through the week end that might get them going

I found eggs 2 days ago. Not many, I gathered a few and placed them in a 30 gallon aquarium along with the string algae. This is my 2nd spawn in a month.
Only a few the first time and those fry are already a half inch long.

I was wondering what it was until you mentioned it Koikeepr. You are right that is a great idea and easy to find in any grocery store.
