New pump for skimmer needed

Wondering what brand pumps folks are using in their skimmers. I have 2, or should say had, 2 upright 3000gph Aquascape pumps for the last eight years and they have worked great. I came home from work and the gfi circuit was tripped. I had hoped the storm that went through got into the outlet but that isn't the case, I narrowed it down to one of the pumps causing the issue. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks nuch.

there are several good pump lines on the market- Easy Pro, Tsurumi, Big Frog, etc.

Are they about equal or is there one you would recommend over another?

I would feel comfortable with any of those.

I use the Tsurum Vancs pump and it works great plus it's built like a tank. Mine is 1/2 or maybe a 3/4 hp but smaller ones are available.

look at the energy use .Laguna has a great one and uses the least wattage .I don't have a skimmer but i bought a 1000 gph one for winter .i put it right under my pond heater to keep a hole open during our short winters .
