new pond question

hi I'm new to the pond scene, and have a question.
My pond is around 650 gallons, I just made a bio filter for it like skippys.
I have a tetra submersible filter box and was wondering if I should remove the media from the box and just use the media in the bio filter.

filter system set up:
submersible filter , pump, skippy bio filter , waterfalls

i would pull out the media,,, put it in your bio filter like you thought

I agree with DrCase, you want as much flow to the bio filter as possible. If it is made right the solids will settle in the bottom of the bio filter.
