I y'all. My name is Damon and a couple of weeks ago I finally put together the pond with the 60 gallon preformed pond liner we bought at Lowes a couple of years ago.
Lot of work but well worth it. I will post some pics this weekend to share.

I am already thinking about a much bigger pond in the middle of the yard. Already installed a inline UV and that seems to have cleared the green water.

Cheers!
Damon

Thanks for the warm welcome. A little bit about my wife and I. We both love animals. We have 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 hamsters, and some fish (fresh water). My saltwater aquarium is dormant right now as I am saving up for the lights to make a coral tank. My wife really wanted a pond in the backyard and I said OK, always say yes to my wife. Hard to say no. So, we got the preformed liner, but I needed to save up the money for bricks, top soil etc. Finally after a couple of years we finally decided to put it in. So I did. Now my problem is I get something together I then have to ask how can I make it bigger and better. LOL so now I am thinking of something bigger with a water fall and maybe a water wheel. I figure in a couple of years I can put that in. So.... I will haunting these forums gathering information and learning. :)

We are also big into halloween so this time of year I am in the halloween project mode. Cheers!

I think all of us here are animal lovers also Damon and all have our family of critters whether it be just fish or a whole herd of others. Neat that you get to build a new pond and we will help you through anything that you need answers to during your build. It is nice if you can post pictures of the area and such of where you are putting your new pond and size, depth and etc. Lots of info already here in past threads on building a pond. You will find lots of idea's.

Would love to see pictures of your Halloween projects too. I have always loved the fun time of Halloween!
