Broke down and bought a new 12” koi for the pond. In a 300 gal. stock tank to qt and keep an eye on before it goes in the main pond and gets the chance to be heron food.
I may put the koi in the juvenile 1800 gal terrapin pond, not sure though. As it will have a net over it to keep herons and bullfrogs away from the pond. After spending all winter raising 7 hatchling DBTs, would be beyond pissed if they got chowed on by herons or bullfrogs, as soon as they were moved outside but I digress.
