Picked up 7 new guys (or gals) today. I had ordered 3-4 fish from our dealer last year when he was planning his buying trip. I've been out of state for the last 3 weeks and the fish came out of quarantine. I got my ponds and filters cleaned so will keep these guys in a seperate tank for a couple of weeks. Have to go back out of state AGAIN this week so hubby is learning the fish stuff. Plants are taking off but the weather is supposed to get wet and cold so water lettuce will stay in basement another week.

You got some really nice fish there, Mrs. Clem! Funny how the first pic doesn't even look like several of the fish in the second pic! I was really excited to see what looks like at least 2 Gin Rin - very shiny reflective scales. The one is the orange fish, although it could be your camera and angle, and the other one is the Shusui (I think that's the color pattern) on the left in the 2nd pic and right center in the 3rd pic, the one with the red lips. And, that dark fish with the red is really outstanding as well! That one may change colors, so will be fun to what it! Thanks for sharing your pics.

Thanks everybody. Yes there are a couple of Gin Rins, couldn't resist the solid orange one. The scales are huge! There are also a couple of Shusui and a couple of Asagi . Thought I had enough fish and then spotted the red and black butterfly. Hoping the colors stay.

I'm thinking the red and black butterfly looks possibly like a Kikokuru, which is a metallic Kumonryu. My cheat sheet says solid white with areas of black, change colors many times. If yours has white belly, this may be what it is. If Larkin chimes in, he will have better idea!
And, I also noticed the huge scales on the solid orange one, and I know someone mentioned "dragon scales", wonder if that is what it has? Again, I've not seen one like it, so have no idea. Someone else will let you know. :)
Funny how the Shusui in the first pic did not look like it had any red on the belly, but on the last 2 pics it really showed up! I suspect your others also have blue and red that are not showing in the pics as they were somewhat scared in the bags. I have an Asagi and it is one of my favorites, just wish it was butterfly. :) Wish I had a Shusui, but didn't know much last summer when I got my first koi, and didn't see one I could afford when I bought the smaller koi last December off of Ebay. :)
Good luck with your new babies!!
